Paradise

I've been always dreaming about the vacation in this way: white sand beach, clear water, blue sky, beautiful sun shine, palm trees, natural clean air, friendly people, cute guys, and quiet peaceful atmosphere.

Then on year 2005's Chinese new year I finally made it come true!

It was an small island in Philippines named Boracay. To get there you have to take domestic flight to the big islands nearby, then take a boat to the west coast of the island and debark at station 1 (north), 2 (middle), or 3 (south). This way it takes around 2 hrs travelling from Manila.

Our trip started with being trapped on the airplane in CKS airport for 3 hours. The airport was once closed due to heavy fog since 4 days ago, and in 3 hrs our flight couldn't move but queuing for taking off on only one runway. In consequence we missed out our connecting domestic flight to Cateclan island. In consequence we had to stay in Manila for one night which was completely out of our plan. Fortunately the travel agency sent nicehearted messenger James and his daughter Hannah to pick us up, and due to their hospitality and kind assistance we were able to find a cheap yet cozy hotel in Makati city (where I've only been once) and had a little advanture in that area.

(Commercial: If anyone wants to travel in Manila James will be very happy to be your tour guide!)

The working year is finally over! The past few days were just crazy, busy, exciting, and full of fun!

So we have this year end party the other night, and every team has to perform on the stage and compete for the first prize 80,000nt and 50,000/30,000/10,000 for the rest. We offshore dept were doing folk/aboriginal dance from Korea, India, and Taiwan, and we all had to wear traditional dress and some guys even transvested to make it funnier. Before the show we also have a competition for best dress, creative dress, and courage prize, and we who did some dressed have to walk around and tried to get more votes. Tina was in Indian dance team with her boss and another worker, and was dressing up as an Indian guy with fake mustache on. It's fun and surprising that few people could recognize her before she started talking. And thanks to her lovely colleagues she got the prize for creative dress in 5,000nt! Other competitors were a girl attaching a facial mask dressing like the phantom in the phantom of the opera, a guy wearing a cardboard milk box, my team member a Korean Chinese and a guy dressing in traditional korean dress. Our dept totally got 3 prizes in this part and even tho our show only got the last prize we're still the only dept who got the most prize in the party. And of course Tina's luck is always there. In lots drawing she got a home theater set (DVD player with surrounding sound system), which although is developed by her company but she thought useful as her Hi Fi stereo was just broken few days ago. The party was excellent and some coworkers were really funny or cute dancing on the stage. And no doubt some people got very drunk again. After that some of us moved to party world for KTV and thanks to a vendor who gave away 20,000nt for us to have whatever fun we want. Hehehe... we love free parties!:)

The next was Saturday and also the last day we worked for replacing a free Monday. It was an unexpected busy day with a lot of emails and quotation inquiries. But we had a lunch party and being treated free coffee/drinks in the afternoon from those prize earners and the whole day was kinda relaxing in some way. After work KTV again with our dept. Since coworkers are from everywhere like Malaysia, Philippines, India, Taiwan... etc, we all sang songs in difference language and everyone was so high with good voice and dance. And after 2 days 7 hrs singing Tina totally lost her voice, but had so much fun before holidays!

So now we finally start our 8 day holidays! What will you do for 8 days? Tina's going to Philippine Boracay Island for a sunshine vacation on Wednesday, at last!! Wish her luck there and have more fun in paradise!;)
