[Australia Trip] Day 7 (Jan 26)-- Australia Day

Hey,

This is my last day in Australia, and in general this trip ws pretty fun. I met 3 sisters from Perth in the hostel and they're really cool. the ordest and youngest are good salsa dancers so they went to different salsa clubs in sydney every night and danced with those advanced dancers. it did stimulate me to learn salsa as i was totally impressed by the passionate interaction that the dance expresses. by the way, at the night we went to one of the salsa clubs, there were 5 groups on hen nights and 2 groups for birthday parties there. so we only paid A$10 then we got flamingo dance show, male strip dance, and fabulous salsa dance show. we're pretty lucky aren't we? tell you the truth, that was my first time watching live male strip dance, and it sort of turned me on a bit! haha...:P

then moving on to yesterday, i finally did the bridge climbing at night. the weather was beautiful and calm, and night view of sydney was awesome and we got several funny people in our group so it was so much fun even if only listening to their bull shitting! well, i don't think i should tell you it's not scary at all as you might not want to experience it when you come here. but honestly speaking, it wasn't as scary as i expected. i think i'll give you the details when i get back.

ok time to go. today is autralia national day and there are a lot of events happening in this city and bbq in the park! gonna go catch them and have my last fun day in sydney!

see you soon guys!

[Asutralia Trip] Day 5 (Jan 24)-- Sydney

Hey,

So i'm here in Sydney travelling by myself too now. why i'm here alone? oh well, the story is quite complicated and i don't want to talk about it again. anyway i had a great time in the past several days with my friends. the family were very nice to me and the dinners the conversations were all great. the house is pretty big and brand new. my friend drove me around several beautiful beaches in newcastle and we also went horse riding and feeding kangeroos and other animals and patting koalas. the weather here is awesome, the sky is so blue, the sea water was actually cold so we can chill a bit swimming in the sea. while there's always a big thunder storm in the afternoon (around 3,55pm) or at night, which is always frustrated us but except for it everything's perfect! oh by the way, the storm stopped us from climbing up the sydney bridge and another one almost got us while we took a nap on the beach, so i remember the time 3,55pm pretty well. (funny isn' it?) talking about the bridge climbing, i'm gonna go make it tomorrow or monday night again. last time we almost started climbing but it's called off due to the lightening. we were not allowed to take any risks even if all of us in the group were not afraid of dying from the shock of lightening.. hehe!:P anyway having tried the half way climbing at daytime, i realized it'd be cooler to do it at night, that you can see the starry night view of the whole sydney harbor and city which will undoubtfully be awesome! so i'll see. hope i can catch a fine night these days.

So now i'm in a hostel near sydney central station. this hostel is quite cheap ($28/bed comparing to YHA $35/bed) and got free internet access. but it's quite small and got this shitty smell around the hallway. YHA looks much bigger and busier comparing to this one. but we got a TV and frige in each room so it's not that bad. i'll be staying with 4 girls for 2 nights and i haven't met them yet. hope they're nice ppl. by the way, it's actually quite easy to find a cheap accommedation in sydney as there's a free dial service at central station and loads of colorful backpacker accomm/hostel ads with inner pics and location map on the computer screen. so all you have to do is merely touching the screen button of where you're traveling to, picking up the phone, dialing the 3 digit number on each accomm ad, talking to the receiption and asking for the price, then you can decide which is the best deal for you. i don't even have to go buy a 'lonely planet' guide book.

well, since i'm here travelling alone, i gotta find something to do in sydney. i've seen most of the tourist spots at the first day i dropped off here so now sydney to me is just sort of revisiting. i might go visit aquarium later as i heard it's sorta cool. and i'll try to get to bondi beach tomorrow as chilling out on the beach seems the only relaxing and enjoyable thing i can do here. monday is australia day so i guess the city will be very busy and have a lot of events going on. i wih i could find some partners to party out that night. we'll see.

ok hope the rest of my trip will go well (cross fingers). take care my friends...

[Australia Trip] Day 1 (Jan 20)-- HK airport

Hey,

hehe... finally i found the free internet you were talking about... it's so cool!! the HK airport is sooooo cool too!! i got 1 hr to hover around in this 'small city' so i can drop you some lines. well, altho i've been to this airport before but didn't really have time to check out all of its facilities. i even didn't know they have free internet service. so i guess your time 'living' in HK airport is not that bad eh? the couches are in human body shape which seem comfy and soft and big enough to strech your legs. the shops open for every min till late night and you can get whatever you want. the free internet service keeps your contact to friends and families (it's be even better if there's a chair or something to sit on...). the toilets are clean and all over the place. the aircon keeps you warm. so can you complain? haha... just teasing you. anyway... my flight was ok... the food on cathay airline sucked but i watched a HK cartoon "McDull" which is pretty impressive. McDull is the name of a little piggy and he's so CUTE with one black eye on his big face! his mom has no money to take him abroad as his mates always do, so alternatively she took him to take the cable train to the top of the mountain in HK as if they flew to Maldive. hehe.... funny me... write you about the cartoon i watched on the plane. now you can see how bored i'm here on my own. (well.. i'm not as brave as you who goes to talk to strangers all the time....)

so i told you i forgot to pack my hair brush, facial cleansing, and contact lens case and i felt so disappointed to myself. then i accidentally found a convenient store in CKS airport so i got them all expect for the case for contact. the location of the store is so weird that in a corner of a cargo loading area. but i'm glad i found it.

i guess i have to go in case i stick on this internet access forever. i'll write to you soon and hope you're having a great time in southern taiwan!

It was a park. A sort of middle size park in the center of a suburban town. It's actually considered as a big park in this residential town which's just right accross the bridge from the capital. Probably because it's sort of grass ground with only a couple of trees spreading in around 2 blocks of streets width. Probably because it's empty with only a couple of families hanging around with their kids in the play ground at the corner of it. Anyway, it was a cool night, a bit windy but not chilly in this deep winter in this country. The open field allowed the wind breezing smoothly, gently brushing on the cheeks the hair and the sleeves. We were like little kids playing on the swings competing who could make it higher, taking off the shoes crawling on the slide castle, climbing the poles, racing on the stony pathway with bare feet, excitedly and joyfully. A while later we were lying on the grass listening to the sound of the night of the city, looking at the round moon eventually got engulfed by the clouds, whispering the minds, laughing. The sky was boundless, the wind was cool, the hearts were warm.

It was an another peaceful night. We discovered a nice park by my city.
